32: THE BIRDS AND THE BEES

It was the evening of the full moon and Mitch had been avoiding Cassie like the plague. He'd been thinking about what his mother told him to do, to reject his mate. He thought it was a bad omen to go against the Moon Goddess, at least that was what Jim always told him.

His mother and father aren't true mates. He chose her after he turned 21 as his chosen mate. His pack stopped believing in true mates a long time ago. Mainly because the wolves stopped finding their true mates within the pack, so chosen mates were the way to go.
