AVA:

"You're right. I was trying to run away." I uttered loud enough for him to hear before lowering my head.

"Can you tell me why you were trying to run? I mean, your main challenge of being unable to bear a child has nothing to do with this right?"

Tears stung my eyes and I quickly wiped them off with the back of my palm as I sniffled. In as much as I was opening up to Alpha Leo, I didn't want him to see this vulnerable part of me.

"If you're asking me to elaborate on my challenges. You must want me to mention how my torments were orchestrated and why I don't want to go back there again." With a look of determination flashing across my features, I raised my face and firmly fixed my gaze on him.

"Yes, that's right." He said and lazily leaned against the wall while crossing his hands across his chest.

"The scars you saw on that night of the party. They weren't war wounds, they were inflicted on me, and I..." I tried continuing but my voice got choked in my throat and I broke into tear
