Chapter Thirty Nine

“That is why you must protect her from her enemies. No one should know that she's the silver wolf.” Theodore added.

What! She will die. I felt cold immediately. The thought of losing Amber got me frozen. Could it be that dad knows about this? Was that why he told me to protect Amber? But why was he hiding it from me? I'm glad that Theodore told me about this, if not, I would be left in the shadows not knowing exactly who and what I am protecting Amber from.

After that conversation with Theodore I couldn't sleep. I was awake throughout the night and when morning came I thought I would be weak to go to work but I was surprised that I rose from the bed and quickly prepared for work. I want to speak with Amber. I hope she has received my message. I called her this morning so that she would report to work early so we could talk but she didn't pick up, of course I knew she wouldn't. I just tried, maybe in case she would pick up.
