Dear diary,
Let me tell you about that moment…
The very first time I set my eyes on Tristan Hemmingway at school.
Oh, how did I know his full name? Well, the girls sitting behind me simply couldn’t stop mentioning it.
To be honest, time just stopped, and I’m not exaggerating or anything.
For a moment, I couldn’t breathe.
Then came the slow whooshing of air into my lungs, forcing me to inhale deeply. Time struggled with the freeze to bring everything back to normal, but the battle was difficult.
Yet even then, it seemed as though time would emerge out of this battle the winner.
Very cliché, I know… but that’s exactly what happened to me!
I watched him enter the lecture room in slow motion, the smile on his face turning into full-fledged laughter as he bro hugged one of his friends and they stopped for a chat.
He was so beautiful.
I couldn’t say much about him because our encounter was rather short, but there was no denying that Tristan was a very attractive guy, and that he had an equally charming personality to go with it. Even with that, there was also this pinch of darkness that I could sense around him that made him all the more alluring to me… it was as though he was hiding some huge secret, or something quite close to that.
As a matter of fact, I think I just might have a little crush!
Now back to me for a moment, since you don’t really know me and I just started writing in you…
I’m Natalie and I just moved into this stupid neighborhood, all thanks to some stupid relative of my stupid parents —naah, I’m just kidding, they’re pretty amazing and I love them to bits, but we never settle at one place for long because of their work or some other big thing and it really is a major bummer all the time.
I’ve been to a lot of places in my eighteen years of existence.
I’ve met a lot of people, but I don’t have any friends, you know?
What’s the point anyway?
I’d leave them behind eventually after all, and then we’d try the long distance shit that always fades into nothingness.
Hard pass.
But for some reason, Bloomingdale Valley seemed like it would be different, and not just because I’m finally attracted to some guy I don’t even know, you know? –okay it might be a little, but I really don’t think that’s the only reason.
I-I just don’t know how to explain it… it’s like this gut feeling in the pit of my stomach, but we live to see.
********Natalie was stuck in a deep sleep, and who could blame her really?
She had started college today, and had pretty much forgotten how stressful the whole experience could be even when one was in great condition, much more to talk about walking all day with a limp.
Yes, a week had passed since the incident. The cast had come off, the crutches had been done away with, and honestly speaking, Natalie had not wanted to spend another day alone in the beautifully creepy mansion, and so she had gone to campus, despite the slight pain and soreness she could still feel in her leg.
The eighteen-year-old couldn’t explain it, but she had this feeling in her belly that just wouldn’t go away.
I-it felt like that calm before a storm… like-like that tensious pause of silence before thunder struck after a streak of lightning appeared. Truly, it felt like that eerie silence in scary movies before the horror strikes!
And Natalie didn’t like it one bit.
Apparently, Natalie wasn’t the only person feeling this. Her parents could feel it too. As a matter of fact, everyone in the house was walking on eggshells, as-as if anything they did wrong could set evil off.
So the young woman slept.
At first, it was a peaceful sleep… a dreamless one in fact, but Natalie soon became restless, tossing and turning, still stuck in the clutches of deep sleep, only…
It wasn’t peaceful anymore.
Someone was standing over her bed, watching her as she slept. Natalie could see him, and he stared right back into her sea-blue depths.
No, it wasn’t a person?
It was a monster! The creature that stood before Natalie seemed human but looked nothing like it. It had hideous, fiery red eyes and a faceless face… its body flowed seamlessly, like it was made from black gases.
Natalie tried to scream, she tried to thrash or fight at the very least, but it seemed she had been frozen –whether from fear or by a spell of some kind, she had no idea.
A tear slipped down her face, and she mentally recoiled in horror as the thing— no the monster pounced on her… its dark, cloudy, gown-like lower body morphing into blood sucking tentacles as it straddled her.
Natalie watched, eyes wide in horror. That was the only part of her body that was functioning as it should anyway, but try as she did, she couldn’t get it to shut tight for long. It seemed as though some force was commanding her… forcing her to do its bidding.
The teenager could see a small hole open up on the face of the monster,
Right where its mouth should have been.
The cavity gradually widened, a horde of tiny sharp teeth appearing as the creature leaned in, its foul breath stinging Natalie’s eyes, releasing a fresh bout of tears.
Apparently, her nose was functioning just as well.
The whole scenario reminded the silver-haired girl of that scene in Grimm where the monster stole a guy’s sleep, and she couldn’t help but wonder if perhaps, this one too wanted to do the same thing to her. She prayed desperately to anyone who cared to listen to wake her up from the nightmare she was in, but it was pretty obvious that everything was really happening.
Live and colored.
“You. Are. Mine, Nataleeee,” The creature growled, its makeshift mouth closing in on her neck as he breathed against her creamy skin. “All mineeee.”
The young woman felt the bite, short and very painful against her neck, and then she woke up with a start.
It was a dream.
It had all been a dream!
Natalie sat up on her bed, her heart still thumping from how realistic the horrifying nightmare had been. Her whole body ached, especially her neck and so the young woman reached out to massage the soft creamy skin.
A soft gasp escaped her lips.
Right across her neck were what looked like tiny bite marks!
Tristan bumped into the stunning silver-haired girl who had constantly been on his mind all week and a smile broke out his face. “Heyy… sorry, I was totally out of it.” He apologized, his smile turning into a smirk when he noticed the girl’s slight squirming.“That’s- that’s alright. I should have been paying attention to where I was going too.” Natalie brushed his apology off as her hand adjusted her side bag over her shoulders. A quick glance at the teenager would confirm what was already obvious; She was very nervous. If she had known that she’d be standing in front of Tristan Hemmingway chatting him up right before class, she would have definitely paid much more attention to her appearance.Truth is, she had wanted to be as inconspicuous as possible, and she figured a hoodie and sweatpants were the right way to go.“Sooo…” Tristan dragged out, “How are you
Natalie Sanders woke up the following day, feeling more like shit than usual. The eighteen year old even contemplated skipping college— but heaven knew her mum, Lynn was going to make a very big deal out of it.She couldn’t believe what had happened last night!Tristan Hemmingway had stood her up.The girl had been ready by six thirty, dressed to perfection, but still managing to keep the entire ensemble casual. She had been excited—thrilled about the prospects the young night could bring. Hell, not even her parents’ constant teasing had ruined her joyous mood. But Tristan never showed up to pick her up… he didn’t even call to explain the reason why he hadn’t.The funny thing was that, she hadn’t even asked for the date.He was the one who had fucking volunteered, so didn’t he think it prudent to get in touch if something had come up?To be honest, at first, Natalie had b
Chapter 10- The Two Wolves Natalie didn’t think. She just wrapped the towel around her body and fled. She didn’t know what to think— hell, she wasn’t even thinking, because if she was, she would have known that going out of the house in just a towel was definitely not one of her most brightest ideas, but who could blame the girl really? She was stuck between thinking someone had broken into their house again, or that the evil force that was haunting them was back again, and she honestly didn’t know which of the stories sounded much better or even more plausible… but it was obvious to her in that moment that either way, her life was very much in danger and that the lesser time she spent being in the house, the better for her, And so she had ran. She didn’t even know where she was going, being blinded by the tears that just wouldn’t stop falling, and she didn’t take her phone too, so she had nothing to use to call her p
Chapter 11- The CompulsionTristan cursed sharply. He didn’t know what had happened to cause him to shift back into human form so suddenly. Something like that had never happened to him or anyone he knew, so he was a little worried. He looked down at the girl looking so peaceful in his bed, and his heart warmed at the sight. This was where she belonged. He chided his subconscious for thinking such wild— such dangerous thoughts. No, Natalie belonged in her normal, human world, and he had stirred it up too much already. At this point, he wanted her to recover, and then— only then will he be on his merry way. There was a quick knock at his door, snapping him out of his musings. “Come in,” He said, and in stepped Infinity, Oracle for the pack who also happened to have been his mother’s best friend and now acted as a mum to both himself and his brother, Atticus. His thoughts shifte
Tristan stood there staring at the Oracle in shock for a moment.A confused chuckle escaped his lips. “No, but— how is that even possible? Natalie is human, it’s-it’s supposed to work— it did work, in fact, because I didn’t see her panicking or showing fear, Infin… not even when we were all alone and I took her downstairs.” He stated in conviction. “I don’t know, maybe the staff is… broken?”Infinity shot him a look, “Don’t be silly, child… there is nothin’ wrong with the staff. The reason why she didn’t show any reaction to ya is because she’s still in shock. It rarely happens, but it can. Sometimes, extreme fear can cause the mind to temporarily shut off some memories, but they’ll appear eventually. They always do.”With those last words, the Oracle headed for the door. “I think the problem is with the girl.” She told the boy h
By second period, Natalie was so glad she had decided to attend lectures. Nothing special was happening, really— it was just another normal day in college in fact— but the silver haired girl liked learning, and with everything that was going on in her life— the weird happenings, her incessant interest in Tristan and his life— this seemed to be the only thing giving her solace.Even her own home didn’t do that anymore.Lunch break came surprisingly quickly, hinting at the approaching nighttime and reminding the young woman that soon, she’d have no choice but to return home. She had just three classes today; two in the morning, one after lunch— she didn’t even have to stay the full day on campus, yet Natalie was determined to only go home when the sun had long gone to sleep.Hell, she’d spend the rest of the day at the library if she had to.Natalie was so deep in thought as she went ab
UNKNOWN POVDEAR DIARY,She grows beautiful each and every passing day.It was just yesterday she was a child, and now she has tits and curves in all the right places. I stare at her through this broken mirror,I see her every step, her every move… I feel pain when she’s happy, and I relish in the joy her sadness brings me.She is mine, Diary.Mineee!Oh, it won’t be long now…Won’t be long before I have her in my arms, gauging her pretty blue eyes out with my bare claws, moaning in pleasure as I torture her and take away her innocence, drinking her blood as she screams for me to stop, as she begs over and over again for me to let her go.Only I won’t be able to.I wil
“We can’t do this to Natalie, Phil… we promised her this would be our last move—”“Now you know that was a lie, Lynn. How are we going to give her the life she deserves if we don’t work?” The handsome middle-aged man argued, the circles under his eyes highlighting how weary he really was. His voice took on a more gentle tone. One thing he truly hated was making his dear wife upset, for you see, he loved her with all his heart, and she loved him too. “This is a blessing in disguise, Lynn. The house is practically free, and even you can’t deny how lovely it looks. We won’t even have to make a big move anymore, Lynn. Natalie can make permanent friends, there’s a very good school over there… just say yes, Lynn.”Lynn knew her dear husband was right, but she had a bad feeling about all of this. “I love the whole idea, but it’s just that I’m not comfortable with moving int
