Chapter 23: Half-truths
Anika’s P.O.V
Shutting off my engine, I took a deep breath and leaned back against my seat, as I stared at my cabin.
Raaz was probably asleep, considering that it was past ten at night. Or he probably didn’t care that I was late?
I shook my head at my foolishness. Why was I trying to avoid going inside my own cabin? Just because of a stranger’s judgment? Just because of one little mistake?
My mind was a mess and I was stressing out and that too, over a man I had known for what? Four days now?
But tonight, while having dinner with Gustav, I realized something about me and Raaz that I hadn't realized before. And it was an eye opening realization.

My heart pounded against my chest as I made my way down the hallways, trying to find my way in this maze of a mansion.
