Holly was bewildered. "Why?"

Trevor fiddled with the hem of his shirt. "Samantha pushed you into the water on my birthday. You were probably already pregnant then.

"It's a good thing that Bryce and Abelin came in the nick of time. Otherwise, the consequences would be disastrous."

He sighed, looking terrified.
