Chapter 204

A week later, as golden sunlight streamed in through the windows of the Habel residence, Trevor sat in his spacious, elegant dining room, eating breakfast with Edna.

Trevor was a local. His breakfasts were typically on the savory side.

He loved having meat-filled gyozas and oxtail soup. Paired with some chili sauce and garlic oil, it was enough to make anyone's mouth water.

He ate two gyozas one after another. Then, he stabbed another one in the middle and began eating it.

As he ate, he suddenly felt that the gyozas felt oilier than usual.

The soup tasted greasier the more he drank it, too.

He asked, "Are these from our regular shop? Why is it so greasy?"

"It's the same shop." Edna passed him a cup of hot tea. "I've told you so many times that we're old now. We can't be eating greasy stuff all the time, but you never listen. Here, have some tea."

Trevor held it up to his lips and took a sip.

It tasted sour and sweet. It was a pretty nice drink.
