“ It’s time, Violet. Best of luck. ” Kane huffs, walking away from me.

I watch his retreating back as my heart drums in my ears. The food I ate earlier is ready to spurt out of my mouth any moment. My guts are twisting because of the nervousness.

I didn’t know how hard it would feel when the time to shift will finally come.
