A thick, consuming silence falls between Wolf and me. He seems to be thinking about ways to get me out of here.
I sigh and stare at his hanged head. He went completely silent after I told him that I didn’t know how to teleport — this happened at least an hour ago.
Now, his silence is beginning to annoy me.
“ Say something. ” I mumble under my breath.
My eyes move to his wrist, the blood now dripping down them heavily. Bile rushes to my mouth and I barely hold back myself from doubling over and throwing up.
“ You were lying to the King when you said you could raise a wall. I know for a fact that you only know how to raise a protective wall around you. ” He speaks up, lifting his head and meeting my gaze.
