Stiff Dinner Conversations

Another day had passed, and Arabella was made to do most of the work, including cooking, washing and laundry.

However, she was spared from cleaning the master's room, because his cleaner Johnny, was back and she was more than thankful for that.

She spent her day getting busy with the chores, and it was to note that she didn’t take breakfast with her master that morning because he insisted on going to work without it.

Hence, she was left with the torturous task of counting the hours until he was back for dinner.

Alas, the long awaited hour of reckoning had come. She had often heard Mrs George speak of how much the master loved chopped lambs and liver, with steak and Arabella had liked to wonder if there was even a pint of vegetarian blood in his body.

She made sure she had one of his men pick out his best wine from the wine cellar downstairs, and it was different from his personal one.
