CHAPTER 6 Against Nightmare

“Nobody will release this rope for you,” said Gerald while smirking at this hopeless girl.

Lisa stood her ground. She did not want to be enslaved by anyone.

"How can I convince a bird that food in a golden cage is sweeter than in the wild?" said Gerald with his hands clasped together behind his back.

He made the analogy that Lisa was a bird that should be in the wild but being trapped by Gerald's side would be much better. He tried to convince Lisa that being his slave is safer for her. The man did not immediately release Lisa from the noose. He deliberately played games before Lisa was released.

"A bird won't eat food in a golden cage because it's not food for them. It's just....” answered Lisa.

The man looked at her closely.

“.... a dirt," She continued with high toned-intonation. Lisa knew exactly what the man meant.

"A bird will be shot dead if it flies free," said Gerald again, arguing.

"A bird will die if its freedom is restricted," replied the girl.

Gerald pulled one corner of his lips up. His mind began to realize that this girl was smart and was able to keep up with her conversation even though he used analogies.

"You just need to be my slave and everything will be fine. If I let you go, they will hunt you and kill you no matter what," said Gerald.

"Nothing will be okay as long as I am still here. This is the place where I do not belong to be." said Lisa looking around.

She found this place very strange. This place felt like a hell disguised as a paradise. With the various classics and glamor in the room, she could guess if this was the room of a crown prince who was exalted in this castle.

Gerald gave his cynical smile once more as he said, "You have neither the right to say anything nor the right to choose anything. In this place, it all depends on what I say. It is because YOU ARE MINE. When you try to oppose and challenge me, you will suffer the consequences." said the man.

The man took out a gleaming long sword. He stroked the blade of the sword like he was about to kill the girl with his own hands.

"I'm not afraid of you," Lisa's words sounded stuttered even though her eyes looked very sharp. "You are my slave. From this moment on, you are mine," said the man.

The two of them just stared at each other. The sword was hanging near her neck.

"Follow everything I tell you. Or, this sword will kill you," he said, bringing the sword closer to the girl's skin of her neck. A red line was drawn on her skin.

Meanwhile, Lisa widened her eyes in denial, "What are you planning to do? Why do you want me?"

CIAAAAT, Gerald swung the sword at Lisa with a sudden move, making her eyes close spontaneously.

Her heart beat fast. She looked tough against the man but as the sword darted in front of her, she couldn't dodge and could only surrender.

The sword threw the rope that was binding Lisa's hands. Gerald smiled triumphantly at Lisa's terrified face.

"You're scared, aren't you?" sneered Gerald. "Next time, it's your severed neck," he continued. Lisa choked.

The girl opened her eyes slowly after Gerald spoke his line. She couldn't believe that she was still breathing at this point. The girl looked into Gerald's glowing eyes.

"As my slave, you have to serve me." That disgusting sentence made Lisa shudder even more. The man took a piece of cloth that he had prepared.

"Clean yourself first and put on these clothes," said the man, throwing the cloth away and leaving the girl. However, just as the girl spread the clothes, several maids came into the room. Lisa did not know why suddenly so many people gathered around her. The maids helped the girl to change clothes until Lisa felt uncomfortable.

They had also prepared a hot spring bath for the girl. Lisa went inside with a big question mark. If that woman was his slave, why was he treated like a queen? The riddle was not answered.

Lisa cleaned herself with thousands of questions in mind. She looked at her body and wondered if the guy want her body.

The more she thought about it, the more speculation popped up in her brain. The girl immediately crossed her arms in front of her chest after imagining something she shouldn't have.

It felt like heaven has hell inside.

Several maids dressed her after taking a bath. This made the girl fantasize even more than she shouldn't have imagined.

"How is it? What should I do?" Lisa grumbled with a worried expression. She looked around, looking for a way to escape from the castle. As long as she was followed by many servants, she could not get out of this.

The girl tricked the servants by asking them to find something they couldn't find.

"This is the prince's order. Go find some food. Never come back until you get it" the girl said firmly. She lied to them as if it was Gerald’s order.

“He never or—“ they questioned her fake order.

“Haven’t you heard from the court that I am his lady now? Find me some food!” shouted Lisa to make it real.

After they all left the room, Lisa walked around sneakily and on tiptoe.

She slipped out of the room. She ran as fast as she could to reach the gate that was already visible from her sight. However, as it got closer, the girl suddenly bumped into someone who ran like wind and stood right in front of her.

Her body hit that person so hard.

“Ouch!” Lisa exclaimed spontaneously when her head bumped.

Lisa's eyes widened when she saw someone standing right in front of her and facing her with a fierce face.

  “You—”
