"This is my resignation letter." Cathlyn handed over an envelope at my desk without look at me directly.
"Why?" I asked. I kind of feel nothing as of the moment but I can't lose one good employee just because of our personal issues. She sighed and glanced at me. I was just staring at her, waiting for her reply.
"This is proper, after everything that's happened. I'm sorry, Eva."
"Cathlyn." She set her eyes on me so I decided to be direct. "Is this what you really want?"
She smiled and nodded.
"Okay. What will you do after?" I smiled back at her and stood up on my seat to get close to her. She's not my enemy but I do have trust issues in the meantime but overall, Cathlyn may also be Kate's victim, they have been friends for years, I guess that's just how it is.
