Chapter nine

As I turned to walk down the passageway, I was interrupted by Michael. "Alpha, we have another problem," he said, his voice tense.

"What is it?" I asked, already sensing that something was wrong.

"Rogues have been spotted at the borders again," Michael said. "We sent a group to check them out and they are still on their way. ."

My anger flared at the news and the audacity of these rogues. The audacity to keep creeping back even after their kind had been arrested and dealt with. "Gather the Warriors," I said, my voice cold and commanding. "We'll search every inch of the borders until we find them."

Michael nodded and hurried off to carry out my orders. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. I knew that I needed to be careful not to let my emotions get the better of me. I couldn't afford to make any mistakes if I wanted to keep my pack safe.
