XV. An Intruder

Teofilo forcefully pushed me into a room where we found Alpha Gaius with three of his associates. They were in the middle of a discussion but turned to face us when we entered abruptly.

"Our precious princess has finally arrived," sneered Alpha Gaius as he lowered the bottle of alcohol he was holding. "Come here, princess. You must compensate me for losing some of my people to protect your damn ass. I will k*ll those savages."

I angrily clenched my fist. "Just to save me, you say?” I gave him a sarcastic smile. "Big words from someone who kidnapped a royalty."

Alpha Gaius' insane laughter filled the entire room, overwhelming my senses like a thunderclap in the sky that quickly reverberated in my chest—as if what I said was a great folly even though it was the truth. He closed his mouth and met my gaze with his eyes filled with anger.
