CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE

KHLOE’S POV

One thing I came to realize was that the contract wasn’t going to be over soon. I had already placed my mind to accept any discrepancies and mind my business while still at Felix’s mansion. He, too, noticed it, but for me, that’s the best way to be done with the contract, minding my business.

It was an early morning, I went shopping for snacks and for other items I would need for my painting.

“That’s the last mac and cheese snack” some guy said to me on the shelf.

“I took it first, I had to go get a basket because the one in my hand was full”. He added. I turned to look at him. He was a tall, handsome guy who would be in his early 30s. I dropped the snacks in his basket.

“Thank you” he said. I walked to another shelf and continued picking other items up. One thing I have learned so far was not argue with anyone. Argument doesn’t help, and if there was one thing I learned working with Felix on this silly contract, it was not to argue with him.

“You can have it” the guy said
