CHAPTER 5 DOLPH's POV

“That wretch…” I impatiently counted the seconds, as I waited for my men to return with my soon-to-be wife. Amusing, how she thought that she could outsmart me that easily.

I relapsed in my sofa, staring at the screen of my phone to track the movement of the tracking device I had put on her while she had been asleep.

My mind reverted to the drunken one-night stand. I was beyond surprised when I found out that the drunk lady that I had taken up to my room had been Tamika Fisher, the relationship specialist.

“Sir, Stuart and the men have arrived,” Taylor, my personal assistant and aide, said to me from behind the sofa.

“Tell them to put her in one of the secure guest rooms and lock the door,” I ordered, putting the phone aside, as I prepared a speech for her. “No beatings or rough handling.”

“Yes, sir,” Taylor replied, as he scurried avidly out of the living room.

I wanted to get the contract signing over with, as soon as I could do, I could face even more pressing matters. A lot of things were bound to change if Tamika agreed to sign that contract, and I had to stay prepared for whatever that was bound to come.

It wasn't going to be easy telling my father that I was about to marry the celebrity who got dumped in front of the whole world. But then, I was going to make it happen, so I could have my revenge.

The sound of Tamika's grunts, as she resisted, were echoing through the house. I could only imagine how shocked she had been when my men finally caught up with her.

I just hoped Stuart hadn't hurt her in any way, as I knew how impatient my men could get, even dealing with people as irksome and annoying as Tamika was.

“Take me to her,” I ordered, as I heard the sound of Taylor's footsteps pacing towards me from behind.

I stood and followed his lead, as he took me to one of the guest rooms on the same floor with my room. My men stood on either side of the door, awaiting my arrival.

I had been expecting her to be pounding the door desperately and demanding for her release, just like annoying people with her temperament would usually do. But to my surprise, she was quiet and calm.

“Is she hurt?” I asked, as I turned the key in the lock.

“No, she isn't,” Stuart replied. The shades he and the other men were made them appear dangerous. “Perhaps, she was just too weak to put up any reasonable resistance.”

That made me recall that she hadn't had anything to eat since she woke. I couldn't help but wonder where she had been hurrying to that time.

“Get her sometime to eat, Taylor,” I said, as I opened the door. “I'll go alone,” I warded them off with that.

The first thing that caught my eyes besides the aesthetics of the room was how calmly Tamika crouched on the bed with her head bowed on her knees. She looked up suddenly with her teary eyes when I closed the door behind me.

“Not so smart, are you?” I teased, as I walked towards her, enjoying the control I had at the moment.

“How did you find me?” she was shivering in fright, as her eyes met mine.

“It was quite easy putting a bug on you while you were asleep,” I enjoyed the fear that my words shot into her system. “You thought you could get away from me, huh?”

She was speechless, as she bowed her head on her knees again. Her silent sobs did more than irritate me, even though I enjoyed that she was getting the revenge that she deserved.

“Look at you now,” I went on, trying to injure her with my verbal assaults. “Just yesterday, you were ranting about the girls being the prize in the relationship, but now you're being treated like merchandise without a price tag. Now that's priceless.”

“What do you want?” she asked without raising her head, as she was sobbing even more than before.

“I hate to repeat myself, Tamika. The conditions remain the same.” I wondered if she couldn't see that there wasn't any hope for her in trying to get away from what she had gotten herself into. “Be my wife and the mother of my kids, or your videos are going out to the whole world.”

“Why are you doing this?” she looked up with those teary eyes. It was almost seeming like she was trying to manipulate me away from my decision by playing victim.

“Are you seriously asking me that?” I scoffed, numbing away every single feeling of pity that was trying to creep into the cracks of my stony heart.

I was yet to recover from the consequences from the last time I had given into my feelings, and I couldn't afford to be so foolish again.

“Maybe, the better question to ask is why you kept feeding people all those lies, in the name of relationship tips,” I retorted. “Welcome to the real world, where things don't always go your way. You should consider this a favor.”

She was quiet, as she stared at me. The tears had dried from her eyes, as I was showing her just how dogged I was, to bring her to her knees.

Tamika's POV

Everyone has a moment of truth, but mine was happening in the most unimaginable way. I could remember all the relationship tips I had given about never being at the mercy of a man.

But there I was, crying my eyes and my brains out after having cried my heart out at Randy's place where I had been treated like trash.

The man who was responsible for my undoing had moved on with his life with another woman, immediately he dumped me. It was only best I did the same and begin my comeback.

“Alright,” I said, looking up at Dolph. “I'll be your bride…”

“Perfect. I'll ready the documents at once.” He had a slightly wry smile.

“But on one condition,” I said, as I watched his smile dissipate. “You'll make me powerful again…”

His jaw was almost dropping to the floor.
