I stared at Ryder with disbelief. I couldn't believe him. After locking me up and treating me like I was nothing, he decided to come seel for a reason to justify his actions.

But if I were to be honest, I didn't know what hurt more - He asking the question or me not having an answer.

"That was the question that you came to ask me?" I asked as a bead of tear rolled down my cheeks. Ryder shrugged, the expression on his face stoic as he stared at me.

"You didn't tell me of your... former actions before we got mated and now it has produced a result that has caused us both a lot of hurt," Ryder said, his tone calm and his expression still without any emotions. "Although you still have to face the consequences, I would love to know why you did what you did."

"You claim that I caused you a lot of hurt," I muttered with a small sniff as I tried to control the storm of emotions raging through me. "You seem to be handling that hurt very well."
