“It seems it won’t be a bad idea being the latest news in town.” Celeste said after the blissful kiss ended. “I don’t mind at all.” Still held her in his arms. “If the news is associated with you and I in it.”“Neil will be thrilled to hear this, He likes you a lot.”“And I like him too, a courageous boy just like his mom.” He kissed her again. Neither of them saw the Family-Carly, Neil and the old man (Mr. Trevor), standing at the front parlor window, barely concealed by the white lace curtains.“I knew it,” Mr. Trevor crowded. “There’ll be a double summer wedding or I’ll chew my cowboy hat in worries”“Some kisses don’t necessarily make a marriage” Carly said. As she jumped in excitement, giggling.“But this is a miracle, dad. Celeste is in love again”“True,” Mr. Trevor agreed. “They are so bright. It’s obvious that Nathan and Celeste are destined to be with one another.”“If that kiss gets any hotter, they’d be setting the porch on fire.”
After a day of teaching, whining and a lot of smiles, Celeste dropped the present (parcel) she had brought for Neil when coming from the school, on the table in the living room. Carly took up the wrapped gift and studied it, curious of what was in the box.“Sis, what’s this? Who is it for?”“It’s a present for Neil. A video game, He loved this when we lived into the city, I happen to see it when coming and I bought it.”“Okay. I’m sure he’ll like it very much.”“Speaking of which, where is he? Isn’t he back from school yet?” she looked around.“No, I thought he always arrive late from school.”“Not today, I even went to inform him at his school that I’ll be really late today” she glanced at her wristwatch “And it’s 6:30pm already.” She was beginning to feel worried. “Dad! Papa!!” she ran to meet her father who was wheeling into the living room. “Did you talk to Neil? I mean has he called you today? You’ve seen him or you know where he is?” she
NINEAt the hospital, Celeste, Carly and Neil with two policemen rushed Nathan in. the nurses joined them and placed him on stretcher straight into the theatre room. They excused the policemen and others. The doctor entered the room with the nurses.Few minutes later. Jack, Mr. Trevor and a teenage girl about Neil’s age ran to meet Celeste and Carly sitting across the theatre in the waiting room.“What happened? Where’s Neil?” Jack asked impatiently as he hugged Carly and Celeste. “Are you alright, Celeste?”“Yes, I’m fine, just a bruise on the lips.” Celeste touched the plaster (aid band) on her fore lip.Neil ran to meet Mr. Trevor. “Grandpa!”Mr. Trevor hugged his grandson tight and Jack did the same. Jack rose after hugging Neil. “Where’s Nathan?”“He was shot on the arm and really hurt too.” Neil replied.“Oh…” he saw the girl behind them. “Sharone, you came.” He waved at her.“You know her? she pleaded she pleaded for me to bring her along.”
TENNathan sat in a bar pallor with his friend, a long-time friend. Timothy. He looked blue. He shouldn’t have gone too far or has he done something wrong. He loved her and he’s really eager to give them a chance. A lifetime. He just hopes Celeste does not let him down. He’ll be shattered.“Hey, Nathan, you’ve been looking blue since I got you from the airport. Woman problem or otherwise.” Timothy asked.Nathan knew Timothy for 5 years of his life and he sure hasn’t change about everything becoming or being a woman’s dilemma. Well he was right he was thinking about a woman. A special woman.“Yeah, I proposed to her but I awaits a response, she’s been bitten once so she’s scared.” He sighed.“Don’t worry, my friend, she would come around if she loves you enough, think positively okay, cheer up.” Timothy smiled. “I have to go now; my wife is going to be getting worried why I’m late. She sent her regards to you.Nathan looked at Timothy and smiled. A family man.

Leaving the city ain’t gonna be easy, Nathan sighed as he peeped through the side window of the taxi. The driver was pretty talkative, blabbing since he boarded the cab. The driver said something and laughed to himself, Nathan could only frown and muttered “Bla bla bla”, to the talkative driver. He was worried, and curious about how his life would become: living out of the city, leaving behind his friends, comforts, and especially his whole childhood memories…. Well, everything would fall into place once he got to see his purchased building then he would start to put the pieces together. Nathaniel Bernard was an ex-marine, kind, tall, broad chest, a lean waist, and extremely captivating. Very honorable and understanding about people's situations. It was weekend, Nathan decided to do some exercise since it was a sunny, peaceful bright day, birds flew everywhere singing, his house was mourning, he was really bored staying in and went outside his gate to take a walk down to market square. His new restaurant was equipped and furnished with everything he needed. He wanted his restaurant to look like it was in the city, something new and different attracts people and make them interested unlike the food stalls outside roaming in the town.He got to the market square everywhere was crowded but not so crowded like the city that was over populated. As he was exploring, looking around he bumped into a lady who held some vegetables and beverages in the shopping bags.“I’m sorry, Ms.…” He bent to pick the bags and ingredients on the floor. The lady rose her head to see the one who bumped into her.“You!” she exclaimed at the sight of him.His eyebrows lifted in question as his blue
Her new truck just arrived when she was back from school but Neil wasn’t back from school yet, they were going to come late today. Let’s go pay a visit mom.” He pleaded dragging her arms. “Why? Let’s go in, Neil.” She frowned. She didn’t want to see Nathan anymore.“Please, mom, remember we’re going to invite him for dinner tonight, let’s go now, please, mom.” He pleaded impatiently.“Fine! Only today okay.” He smiled and they left for the restaurant.AT THE RESTAURANT As
