Chapter 14.

Titus POV.

Sitting in the living room, being separated by a wall from my mate it so hard, but her scent calms me and the storm that is brewing within me.

Josh and Marcus are both sat opposite me, the silence is deadly. “She will be ok Titus. You have found her now.” Marcus tells me and I just nod my head and bring the glass to my lips and sip down the whiskey. It burns my throat, but it’s comforting.

For so long, I found solace in the bottle, but now it’s different. I drank to dull the ache and now I’m drinking to calm my nerves. When will she wake up? She will run again? How am I going to make this right?

I am pulled from my thoughts when the bedroom door opens. We all jump to our feet as Kendra and Sadia come out and close the door behind them.

“How is she?” I ask. The fear in my voice is clear. Sadia takes the bottle of Jack Daniels and pours her and Kendra a glass. She knocks it back before pouring another one.

She looks at me and moves to sit on the arm of the sofa next to Josh.
