Chapter 13 – Teasing

She fell asleep not long after she got back. Going around to shop was tiring.

When Klyde returned, he went to his study to finish a few things. When he was called for dinner, Melissa was nowhere to be found.

“Where’s that woman?” He asked with a frown. The maid felt a little scared by his tone and expression.

“I already knocked on her room, sir. I have informed her that dinner is ready.”

“Did you get an answer?”

“No, sir.”

“Call her again.”

“Yes, sir.” She hurried away to obey her employer.

It doesn’t really matter to Klyde. He began to eat without waiting for her. He was about to finish his meal when she arrived. She looked a little disheveled and her eyes still look sleepy. He could only surmise that she’d been sleeping.
