What is the point?

Ethan's POV

When I got home, I met Chloe and Ariana studying together. I stood behind the door to watch them for a while, and I didn't realize that I had been smiling.

I loved the way Ari's eyes shone and the way she smiles and giggles any time she understood something. Then her face will fall if there was something she was finding difficult. Chloe on the other hand was a wonderful and very patient teacher. She took her time, explaining and breaking everything down for her in the simplest terms. I knew that I could not teach like that.

Ari suddenly looked up and saw me. "Ethan is here!" She pointed, getting up. I loved how excited she always got anytime she saw me. She was very fond of me. The only thing that would make it better was if she actually called me 'Dad' instead of my name. But I would take what I was getting for now.

As usual, she rushed into my arms and I picked her up.

"Mommy told me that you gave me a hundred dollars today. I thought it was two dollars."
