Chapter 37

Kelly was absorbed into the files that were presented in front of her. She heard a little rumble outside the office and immediately Mia barged in.

"Kelly", Mia called out, fuming with anger.

"Oh boy, here we go again", Kelly whispered before returning a smile to her. "Hello Mia".

"What the hell do you think that you are doing?"Mia roared at Kelly who just kept her composure.

"What am I doing, Mia?", Kelly asked, tilting her head to one side.

"You incompetent fool, you think you can latch onto Daniel's life and suddenly take over his things, sorry baby girl, I'm here to stop you", Mia said, walking up to Kelly.

"Heyyy, I don't mean any harm. I just want to help. Besides he's the one who appointed this seat for me. It's just for twenty-four hours and nothing more.", Kelly replied calmly. She didn't want to start a feud with Mia.

"Shut up", Mia retorted at her. She slapped Kelly on the face, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the seat.
