CHAPTER 7

“Okay, we’re gonna take five. And after that, Kelly, you will have to retake your script, understood?”, the movie director said to Kelly who was visibly tired.

Kelly simply nodded and went over to the waiting bench.

“Are you okay, Kelly?”, one of the female actresses said, walking over to where Kelly sat. “You’ve been acting weird since the beginning of practice and in the last practice we had, you already knew your lines in the movie so perfectly.”

Kelly looked over to the actress and faked a smile, ignoring her question.

“ I don’t know what you are going through but you gotta put yourself together okay?”, the actress said and tapped Kelly on the back before walking off.

Kelly sighed, reminiscing about what happened at home. She thought about the slap, the lady, “who the hell is she?”, Kelly hissed to herself as she held her cheeks. She remembered how the lady walked out on her, treating her like trash and she couldn’t do anything about it.
