Chapter Eighty Nine

The police woman nodded her head,

"Of course. How about you pen down the letters and take them home? If you come up with anything, feel free to call me." The police officer suggested.

Emma nodded, swiftly scribbling the alphabet onto the paper, which she then passed to the officer. She promptly jotted down her number on it.

"We'll ensure your safety by keeping a police officer close to you. You won't even notice their presence," the policewoman reassured as Emma got up to leave.

Exiting the interrogation room, Emma spotted Lucas by the exit. He pulled her into a comforting hug, pestering kisses on her hair before guiding her to his car.

"Are you alright? What did they ask you?" Lucas inquired, his expression etched with concern.

"Just questions about Damien, nothing major," Emma replied, as she fasten her seat belt, grateful to be out of that room.
