Chapter 2

Ariella froze up and her eyes dilated when her lips touched the lips of this stranger. She had never wanted their lips to touch. That was not her intention.

Her intention was to get mixed in the crowd of dancers. If she put her arms around him and pretended to be making out with him, then they wouldn’t notice her and would walk by, but she never thought that the moment she turned to hide her face she would kiss him.

She quickly pressed her lips and tried to pull away, but then he grabbed her by the waist. Immediately, his eyes darted over her shoulder to see the men glancing at each person on the dance floor.

Ariella was still shocked by the kiss, but she knew what was coming for her, and it seemed like this stranger understood. She took the gesture and leaned her face on his chest and just about then, he turned his back to the security.

Ariella swallowed hard as she inhaled the fragrance his body let off. The cologne smelt expensive and it was intoxicating. She took this moment to glance at his outfit. It wasn’t the regular outfit that anyone would take to a club party.

He is wearing a suit.

She swallowed hard and glanced up at the man who still pulled her in a hug. She could see his pointy chin pointing down at her, his thin pink lips which she had touched with hers, and then his sharp-pointed nose, and she couldn’t see his eyes if they were staring somewhere else.

She could feel his hard chest since her body leaned on him, and just as she was about to sniff the air again, she noticed the security guards had passed her.

She quickly leaned back. Just then, their eyes met and she looked into his pale blue eyes and at his long eyelashes. At that moment, her lips parted in awe.

He is so handsome! She exclaimed in her head. Who are you? She asked in her mind again. She had never met such a handsome man before and it seemed like he was there alone, since she didn’t see him dancing with any lady, or was too busy to check.

“There she is!” She heard and her eyes darted over his shoulder and she noticed one of the security guards had spotted her.

“Oh shit!” She knew she couldn’t hide next to his chest anymore, so she glanced up at him.

“Thank you very much Mr. stranger and goodbye.” With this she quickly ran before he could say anything or ask her name.

“Mr. Gavin!” Eric called out, and the man who had seen the security chase the lady glanced back to see his personal assistant struggling with the dancing crowd to meet him.

“Eric,” Gavin’s forehead creased and he glanced back in the direction the lady had ran off in time to see her dashing out of the club exit, behind her were the guards chasing her.

She could be a trouble maker. His forehead creased.

“Mr. Gavin, they are waiting for you!” Eric called out again.

“Let’s go!” Gavin said, and made his way towards the stairs.

Eric glanced at the exit door, he had seen Gavin with a woman. It was the first time in five years, Gavin had actually hugged a lady and their lips had even touched. He had seen this from the stairs and was too shocked at that time to hurry to Gavin.

Gavin had hated the smell of ladies, he didn’t want them around him, he didn’t want to touch them or speak to them, even on professional business occasions, he would stay five feet away from them, and the only lady he ever let touch him was his sister.

That was the reason he had to stand staring at Mr. Gavin for a while and only rushed down to him when he saw the lady back off his chest. It was strange to see he didn’t hit her or yell at her.

“How many are there?” Gavin questioned coldly as he walked down the hallway leading to the VIP lounge and Eric snapped out of his thoughts.

“Two Sir,” Eric responded quickly and quickly made his way front to push the VIP lounge open, but he held the door handle and looked at Gavin, who raised his brows quizzically.

“Don’t be ridiculous and open the door!” His breath was cold, his expression dark and his lips pressed in a cold line.

Eric was scared of him, Gavin was a man no one dared speak disrespectful to, everyone seemed scared of him, everyone respected him, he was wealthy and cold, he didn’t smile at anyone and he had those tall walls all around him that no one dared climb over.

“Mr. Gavin,” Eric lowered his gaze. “I should inform you that Mr. Raymond is in there.” Eric glanced up, but lowered his eyes quickly again when he saw Gavin’s eyes darken.

Just hearing that name made Gavin’s blood boil, he clenched his jaw and curled his hand into a fist, swallowing hard to control the anger he felt. He glanced up at Eric again.

“Find out why he is here and all about who he is meeting!” Gavin ordered.

“Yes Sir.” With this, Eric pushed the door open and Gavin walked in and Eric followed behind.

Gavin’s eyes swept the room and there he was, Raymond, his uncle’s son, his eyes locked with Raymond briefly and sitting across Raymond was about man he was not familiar with, also dressed in business suit, he looked Italian.

Gavin glanced away and made his way to the two men who were already standing when they saw him enter the room.

“Mr. Gavin.” They greeted him, they were in their late forties, but they were so respectful to this young man, it was true what people say, 'money and wealth brings respect.'

“Please, sit.” He told them and sat down on the empty chair and it was after he sat down that they sat in their seat, sitting up straight.

“Eric,” Gavin called out, and Eric, who stood next to his chair, quickly took out the files in his bag and placed them on the table for the two men.

“You can glance through it," he told them. "I want to be done with this as soon as possible.” He didn’t want to stay there long, not when Raymond was at the other side staring at him, although he did not glance over, he could see Raymond glance at him from time to time.
