Chapter - 44

It had been two weeks since Valéry had officially introduced her to the planning committee at their office and she'd started working with them for the fundraiser that was set to take place in six weeks. She'd only ever been to the office once the very first day with Valéry by her side. After that, she'd done most of the work from home, mostly because she hadn't felt the need to go the office yet. The team mailed her most of the documents that needed to be looked over and they talked over the phone often enough that the need to actually go sit at the office hadn't yet arisen. But today afternoon, a few of the art pieces they were going to put up for auction had arrived at the office and she wanted to have a look at them personally before the final deal was signed and the money transferred. 

So after a quick lunch, she quickly got ready. On her way out the door, she texted Dmitri on a whim to check if he'd had his lunch yet.
