Chapter 16: Kiss Me
Mandy woke up almost noon the following day. She saw a woman whose back was facing her.
"Mom," Mandy uttered in a hoarse voice.
Emma turned around when she heard Mandy.
Emma walked towards Mandy."Madam, finally you're awake. How are you feeling?" She asked.
Mandy did not answer as she felt a lump in her throat. Tears burned her eyes at the thought of her mom.
Yesterday, she wished to die to be with her mom. She wanted to break free from the pain and grief she's suffering. She thought that she would die. She felt so weak and tired that she could not even cry. She felt like her eyes were so dry and her whole body was numb that she became emotionless.
Mandy wept bitterly. She hated that she woke up. She does not want to feel the deep sorrow and pain caused by her mom's death.
