Battle

Even if my eyes were closed, I felt the softness of the bed support my body, I could not get my eyelids to open allowing my eyes to take in my surroundings.

My limbs were heavy.

My brain kept throwing up images of scared Alisha holding my hand, I wanted so badly to tell her that I would be okay, however, I can't because my voice didn't come out of my lips, I was so numb I could barely manage to breathe.

My mouth was hanging open. Breathing so slowly, that cessationist was resisting to finish its effect. I struggled wanting to squeeze my hand, I didn't even know if it had been hours or days. It seemed that the wife I wanted to convince to stay with me, would run away again, she was not my prisoner but the mother of the child that without knowing, we have.

A beautiful child, moody, very protective of his mother, I felt a contradictory feeling, I did not want to share the attention of my beautiful wife. In my eyes I would never find someone more important than Alisha.
