Chapter 4 Show His Love for Another Woman in Front of Her

The unexpected person was slim and slender, with delicate but sinister eyes, thin red lips and a vague smile.

It was Andrew James, Ezra's half-brother and they shared the same father.

Although he is the second young master of James's family, he is actually an illegitimate son.

His mother was so humbled to be on stage that Andrew wasn't taken back into James's family until he was six years old.

Unlike Ezra, who is cold and deep, Andrew James is eccentric and unpredictable.

Arabella didn't have much contact with him, and subconsciously didn't want anything to do with him.

So when Arabella saw him, she just nodded a little, said "Mr. James" and started to leave.

But as soon as she took a step, the man stopped her.

Andrew James leans lazily against the door frame, with a slight smile on his handsome face, "Arabella, how come my brother is so relieved to let you, such a beauty, come back by yourself?? He doesn't know how to cherish his own woman. What a pity!"

Arabella frowned and said nothing.

He laughed and said, "You'd better leave him and follow me. You may rest assured that I am always generous with women, and I shall love you dearly."

Arabella had not expected him to say such a thing, and she was shocked and slightly annoyed.

"It's my family business, so don't bother! And I am your eldest brother's wife. Please mind your tongue!"

Arabella ignored the man and went straight into her grandfather's room.

She was relieved that he had not followed her.

The pleasantly bright surroundings, except for a hint of imperceptible herbal smell, did not in any way suggest that the owner of the room had been seriously ill.

The old man lay weakly on the bed, occasionally coughing a few times.

With white hair and a face that couldn't hide the haggardness, it was a far cry from the fit and spry old man of three years ago.

Arabella swallowed her pain and smiled. "Grandpa," she said.

The old man on the bed was Arthur James, the owner of the James family.

Three years ago, It was Arthur James who forced Ezra to marry her by threatening his family's inheritance rights.

At that time, Ezra put all his heart on Beth Ruth. Although Arabella fawned over Ezra every possible way after marriage, she was even willing to be a good full-time wife for him, still, she couldn't change the man's heart.

Arthur James had been reigning in the shopping mall for many years, and he saw it more clearly than anyone else whether he had a wrong heart or is kind and sincere.

What's Beth Ruth like? He knew better than Ezra.

After that incident, Arthur James was completely fired up at Ezra.

Even though Ezra was reluctant, he was still shocked by the old man with a firm hand and had to watch Beth Ruth was forcibly sent out of the country...

In Texas, he was a respected presence.

But in James's family, he was a failing parent, and even now, his misunderstanding with Ezra had yet to be resolved.

Arthur James went to great lengths to pave the way for his grandson, but in the end, his relationship with Ezra became more and more distant.

Blood is thicker than water, Ezra, no matter how cold and indifferent he is, should be there when his grandpa is dying...

"Arabella..." The old man on the bed suddenly opened his eyes, his old eyes instantly more than a few taking on a bit more color as he struggled to sit up from the bed.

Arabella came to his aid and put a pillow to cushion the old man's back before she sat down beside him.

"Grandpa, it's me. I'm back."

Arthur James coughed twice and glanced behind her with some dissatisfaction, "Why are you alone? Where's Ezra?"

Arabella's eyes dimmed a little and she forced a smile, "Ezra had something to do today, so he can't come back with me."

"Really?" Arthur James's body was not very well, but his eyes and heart were bright.

"Of course it's true! Grandpa," Arabella smiled and gently stroked her stomach," I have something very important to tell you."

"I'm..."

Pregnant.

Arabella had just opened her mouth when the door to the room was suddenly pushed open.

She lifted her eyes to the doorway and her face blanched instantly.

After three years, Arabella didn't expect to see Beth Ruth again under such circumstances.

She was still soft and petite as ever, and her skin was sickly white. Snuggling beside Ezra, she looks like a little white flower that can't stand the wind and rain.

Ezra took Beth Ruth into the room and ignored Arabella, who was sitting on the edge of the bed. He looked blandly at Arthur James, "Grandpa."

Arthur James' face turned very ugly and looked at Arabella, "Is that what you said he was up to?"

Arabella looked embarrassed and didn't dare to speak with her head down.

Beth Ruth nestled in the man's arms, looking worried, "Grandpa, long time no see, I'm Beth, do you still remember me?"

With a stern face, Arthur James cut her off coldly. "Get out! James's family is not for anyone to come in!"

Ezra frowns, "Grandpa, Beth is just worried about your health. Why be so unreasonable?"

Arthur James glared at him and was about to speak when he coughed violently.

Arabella quickly stepped forward and stroked his back. "Grandpa, are you okay?"

Arthur James waved his hand and said, "Still alive!"

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault, I shouldn't have come..."Beth Ruth leaned into Ezra's arms and suddenly cried in a small voice "I'm just worried about grandpa's health, so I asked Brother Ezra to bring me here. If grandpa doesn't want to see me, I'll go out..."

After a pause, she choked out another sob, "I know grandpa don't like me, but I never want to rob Ezra with sister, I grow up with Arabella. And I owe a great deal to the Ruth family, I'll never rob sister??s husband!"

"I won't have you say that. I only love you!" Ezra interrupted her with a solemn face.

"Ezra..."

Arabella watched the scene coldly, feeling a dull pain in her heart and an overwhelming sting.

Grandpa Arthur was even more furious and his face was red unable to speak for a long time.

"That's enough! Grandpa's health is not good. If you want to show your love, get out!" Arabella couldn't hold back any longer and yelled out in a low voice.

Ezra frowned and was about to open his mouth when Beth Ruth quietly pulled the corner of his shirt, "Brother Ezra, I don't want to see grandpa unhappy. I'd better go out first..."

With that, Beth run out of the house. And as Ezra was about to chase after her, a stormy shout from the old man came from behind him, "Stop right there!"

Ezra's footsteps lurched and he folded back.

The old man looked at Arabella's pale face and heaved a deep sigh, "Go outside Arabella. I want to have a talk with him."

Arabella said nothing more, sniffed and got up to leave.

Before leaving, Ezra gave her a wary look.
