Apologies for the slow updates, I managed to type up a number of chapters, however unfortunately these did not save to my computer and I lost them all meaning I now have to retype everything again. Please be patient for more chapters. It will be worth it, I promise.
Luna’s POVThe guest room in this place was incredible, I’m certain it’s at least 3 times bigger than my bedroom back at home. The room was filled with colours of cream and gold, a bed big enough to fit a whole family of five. Carrie and Sadie had left me around ten minutes ago to prepare a light lunch, Carrie knew my appetite had been a little restricted lately due to me feeling ill, if only she knew the real reason.I walked towards the window and opened the doors which led to a small but beautiful terrace overlooking the huge swimming pool. The guest room was directly above the main lounge area which would explain why I could hear voices coming from that direction, the voices of Roman and Santos.I’m not sure if they were aware that I could hear them from up here, turns out I could hear every word, a door or window from the main lounge must be open.“Why don’t you go speak to her now, get it out the way. What’s the worst that could happen.” Santos spoke.“No…I need to give her time
Luna’s POVI couldn’t help but stare as Roman walked by, not even taking a glance at me. Did he not care that I was stood right here with Vincenzo? I guess a part of me wanted Roman to be jealous, I wanted to see he still cared.Vincenzo pulled me from my thoughts when he took my hand, gently pulling me to follow him.“Where are we going” I asked as he began walking towards the far end of the garden“I want to show you something” He replied, smiling down at meThe garden was huge, it appeared to go on forever. We finally stopped in front of a huge cherry blossom tree, beside it was a white French style bench containing a plaque.I let go of Vincenzo’s hand and walked towards the bench ‘In loving memory of a dear mother, Cheryl Callaso’“Cheryl was my mother, her family and friends called her Cherry. Santos and I had the same bench hand crafted, I also have a similar tree buried in my garden. Her ashes are buried within the roots of the trees, when they bloom we feel her presence. We o
Roman’s POVI woke to find myself cuddling into Luna, her back facing me, my arm wrapped around her waist with her head resting on my other arm. I tightened my hold around her waist and pressed my nose into her neck, taking in her beautiful scent. A moan escaped her lips, her hand travelled along my arm which was holding her tightly. Suddenly she woke, turning her head to face me. She quickly removed her hand from my arm, appearing shocked that I was laid beside her.“I’m sorry” I said in a low voice. I was about to remove my arm from her waist when she stopped me, grabbing hold of my arm she pulled it back to where it was and turned her head to lay back down. I couldn’t help but smile knowing she wanted me to hold her, to stay with her.Once again I took in her beautiful scent but I couldn’t stop there, I needed more.I placed a gentle kiss on her neck, another on her shoulder. A gasp left her mouth, her breathing becoming heavier.“My moon” I said quietly“Roman” her voice was barely
Luna’s POVWe arrived at Barnes and Noble book store almost thirty minutes ago, this place was bustling. Sadie took a seat beside me while Roman stood behind watching as smalls crowds gathered. I must admit, the publishing company had done a fantastic job of advertising the book signing. Even though it wasn’t originally meant for me, the crowds took the opportunity to approach me and speak about my book. I had the pleasure of signing numerous books which to my surprise many people had purchased.I must admit, at times I felt many people were here to greet Roman, so many people were approaching him and shaking his hand as if he were a celebrity in this city. I hadn’t doubted that he was a well known respected man but I did feel the crowds were here more for Romans sake than for my own. I wasn’t complaining though, he appeared to be drawing more of a crowd throughout the day and convincing them to buy my book. I was thankful for his presence in this moment.Carrie arrived at the booksto
Luna’s POV Walking to my car I sighed looking at my watch, realising once again I’ve worked over my hours due to being short staffed. Why did I think it was a good idea to become a nurse. 29 year old Luna has always had a caring nature and found helping people gave her satisfaction, however lately she has become tired and lost all her passion for being a nurse. Her social life is non-existent, her days are filled with working and her relationship with her partner Ethan, well toxic would be the perfect word for that. Driving home I knew what would be instore for me once I walk through the door, I parked up in the driveway which was always well lit. My home was not the biggest on the street but it was elegant with a beautiful lawn and well-presented rose bushes set out bordering the lawn, Roses have always been my favourite flowers. I grabbed my bag from the passenger seat and got out of the car, I quietly unlocked the door silently praying Ethan was asleep. The house was in darkn
Luna’s POV It’s been seven weeks since I finally plucked up the courage to leave, seven weeks after the horrifying attack I faced at the hands of that monster. I can’t even bring myself to say his name, everything about him makes my skin crawl. Seven weeks ago I was subjected to the most brutal attack which left me traumatised, waking up every night due to constant nightmares and reminders of what I had faced that night, yet somehow that same night I saw the light. After the monster finished with me, he went straight to bed and slept like a baby as if nothing had happened. While he slept I forced myself up, grabbed my car keys and left with no hesitation. Of course I was a mess, my face was bruised and swollen, I was covered in blood and the most intimate part of me had been completely violated which left me struggling to walk while causing me pain. Unfortunately due to me moving over 200 miles from home when I got my nursing degree, I don’t have many people I can turn to for help.
Luna’s POV “Hey, why don’t we go shopping today? we can go into the travel agents and look for a holiday, call it a celebration for getting your book published” Carrie spoke with so much enthusiasm, she has been trying her best to cheer me up over these past seven weeks. I began writing a year ago, it’s always been my true passion although I never shared this with anyone other than Carrie, she was the only one who knew about my writing and the one who sent my novel out for publishing without my knowledge so I guess I have her to thank for my publishing offer. This morning I received an email from a publishing company who agreed to publish my novel. I have to go to London this weekend for a meeting with the publisher, I’m not sure how everything happens but I’m sure they will explain it to me when I get there. “Carrie, I cannot afford a holiday, I’ve quit my job and I’ve got this London trip to think about, if I decide to go I will need to save my money” I told Carrie. “what do yo
Luna’s POVI was woken by my 5am morning alarm, it was Friday morning and we had decided to drive to London rather than get the train. As the drive was six hours long we decided that I would drive for the first three hours and Carrie would drive for the rest.I slowly dragged myself out of bed and searched through my belongings for something comfy to wear, I decided to settle with a pair of black leggings a black vest top and a nude oversized shirt, it was the kind of outfit you could dress up with a pair of heels or dress down with a pair of boots, obviously I chose the latter due to travelling all day. The hotel we were staying in was five star, I wanted to look at least somewhat presentable, Carrie on the other hand always went to the extreme. When she found out we were staying in a five star hotel she went and bought a whole new outfit just for our arrival, High wasted jeans a white shirt and blazer and a pair of high heeled stilettos, however, she did decide to drive in her train
