“So? How was it?” Dad asked as I joined him in his office.

“Good,” I lied, faking a smile, pretty sure he got wind of the incident when we were attacked by a siren.

He turned to Enzo, who had his hands behind his back standing like a soldier ready to take orders.

“I could never thank you enough for what you did,” Dad said to Enzo.

“I did what I had to do,”

“And I am grateful for that. Anything you want, just tell me,” Dad said, patting Enzo’s shoulder, who bowed his head as Dad’s lips turned up in a smile.

Rodri and Enzo went on briefing Dad about the things we worked on and how we might end up going back a few weeks later to just ensure everything was in place

“Good. Keep me updated. You are all dismissed,” Dad announced, and I was the first one to turn on my heel, ready to get out of here.
