The sun was setting when Audrey pushed the door open. After laughing her heart out with Nathan, she felt better and lighter. Like the heavy sentiment inside her chest was gone and was replaced with soothing warmth.
She was stunned to see Shane leaning on the wall a meter away from the entrance and the first thing she thought about why he was there was because he was waiting for her. When 5:00 o'clock in the morning flashed in the digital clock on her bedside table, she pulled herself up to sit as she slowly rubbed her eyes while yawning.
