A Vivid Dream

Amira POV

My head throbs as my sights began to adjust the flickering lights which are reflecting into my eyes.

I can see! Yes, I can see the snowflakes in front of me. I lifted my body from the frostiness of the floor but someone drags my feet. A cold hand clasps them and I screams in fear.

"Help! Help! Anybody here?" I struggled by kicking him hard but the hands seem to stick on my skin.

It won't budge. His hands were freezing like of the dead.

I keep screaming until I saw myself in another place again. This time I was in the middle of the jungle. My visions scattered the area and I saw a cute white little dragon, just hatched from its egg. The dragon was alone and it was whining on the ground.

I thought dragons aren't real but here it is, I saw it in my bare eyes. I got up from the ground and went to the little creature.

"Oh, poor thing. What happened to you? Who abandons you here?" I was about to put him in my arms when his fangs came out and about to bit me but I quickly toss it away from me.

"Ahhh!!!" I felt the dryness in my throat.

My eyes were widely opened and I was catching my breath when I saw I was not in the forest anymore. I was back again in a place where winter months began. I tried to pull myself together what is happening right now. Why I always find myself in another dimension?

I was blind but why I can see things at this moment. I was inside the palace a while ago but what place is this?

I ambled on the cold slippery pathway. I feel like I was walking in the ice paths forever. I can't see the palace and no one is living here. I started to trembled like my body goes numb to the coldness of the wind keeps brushing my face. I wrapped my arms around my body as I keep on finding a way out.

"Anybody here? Hey, can someone hear me? I think I'm lost!" My throat almost breaks for screaming too loud.

I shut my mouth and wait if someone will answer me but it's just a hush sounds of the winds keep enveloping in my ears.

Until the sky turned gray and the air became silent. It feels strange when everything turns dark. Until I can't see anything anymore. I was scared that I was all alone in this cold and scary place until a hands shook my shoulders.

"Amira, wake up! Wake up! It's me, Agnes!" my eyes promptly opened wide while catching my breath.

I hold my chest trying to stop the unstoppable beating of my heart like a drum. Was it all a dream? But it seems real and it's still vivid in my mind. I saw a little white dragon with me but wait, it's all darkness again. I thought my eyes are okay and clear.

"Agnes, where am I?" I asked my Damah.

"You're inside your room, my princess. I think you were sleeping the whole day so I came to check you." She told me and it seems like she's fibbing.

I was outside a moment ago, I can see but why? Why it's all a dream?

I wiped the sweats on my forehead. I took a deep breath before pulling myself up from my bed. My eyes and body feel heavy but I don't care anymore.

"You mean I was just sleeping in bed the whole day?" I had to investigate.

I am so happy that I finally can see the world with my eyes and everyone in the palace and I thought that it's real but it's just a fantasy I created for my poor mind.

Agnes laughed at me. She even jokes at me.

"Yes, you never go out. Never! Why? Are you expecting to be cured?" She said.

I shook my head. I believe her now. All of it is a dream without reality. Why does she keep thinking that a huge miracle will happen to her eyes? Since she was seven, she turned blind and it was also the end of her dream to be married again to the man she loves.

"Can you please leave me alone?" I ordered her.

I was not in the mood to talk to anyone even my dad.

"Oh, sure. Just call me if you need anything, my lady, okay?" She told me and I set a half-smile on my face.

I waited until I heard the door closing behind her.

I caress the mattress of my bed until I touch something sharp. It's a sword! A small sword like a knife. What is this thing doing here? I said to myself.

I took it and I hid it under my bed until a hands grab it from me.

"Hey, thanks you find it! I almost miss it! Bye, my lady!" It was Agnes.

She's the owner of the little sword I wonder why she has to bring it inside my bedroom when she's not in hunting gear. I was still sleepy so I went back to sleep again.

------

"Hey, you, the guy who was wearing a garbage bag!" Prince called the poor guy.

He looked back while his hair turned messy as winds keep swinging it. He has no idea what the prince wants from him.

"Me?" He asked him but Reez swung his arrows towards him and he swiftly stops it with his fingers. All the townspeople saw it and Prince Reez felt humiliated in front of his people.

He showers lots of arrows at the strange guy but every time he swung the arrows towards him, he avoided it like a whiff.

"Who are you, beggar!!! Catch him!" He mandated his soldiers to get him but the guy ran as fast as he can. He hides under the passageway of the tunnel.

He saw Reez' soldiers looking at him on the road. He set a wide smile on his face.

" Do you think you can get me? I am not what you think! All of you, I will kill all of you! I swear to my people!" His eyes were full of anger and remorse.

Who is the poor guy? Why does he keep cursing people to death? Why he moves so quickly? What powers did he possess?

What were Amira's dreams all about?

Who is Princess Amira?
