The next morning the girls were sent for breakfast then they were made to assemble in the hall again but this time instead of the elaborate and heavy ball dresses they had been made to wear the previous night they were provided with light dresses with pantaloon type petticoats under their dresses and asked to keep bare faces with their hair pulled away from their faces.
