Mia’s pov

I stared at him with shock starkly painted ober my face while searching his face for proof that he wasn’t lying, but after a few seconds, I realized that he was being very serious. I felt myself stagger backwards, unconsciously inching towards my mother protectively.

“You wouldn’t dare.” I whispered, eyes wide as I stared at him. I’d have have imagined thzt id be able to say this exact words to my father.

He regarded me for a few moments before letting out a cold laugh which grated on my nerves and made me flinch.

“I’m gonna do just that and you won’t be able to do anything about it. You’re so certain that your boyfriend can protect you from me, forgetting that I still have your mother with me, she belongs to me and I’ll deal with her anytime, whenever I wants.”
