ATTICUS POV Relief settles inside our gut as we head back out to confirm our plan with the warriors. Karina and her mother are safe and they were able to handle the threat themselves. But why there was a threat at all is still bothering us. "Where is she," we demand as we step outside to find a handful of waiting warriors. "The new cells. We kept her away from the long-term prisoners," one of the ex-agents answers and we nod. We begin to head in that direction and the warriors fall into step behind us. KARINA POV As Atticus rounds his desk and approaches me with concern clearly on his face, my control snaps. Tears I have been keeping at bay escape down my face and I begin to sob just as he pulls me against his chest."I am sorry. I am sorry I sprang that decision on you.
