Chapter 12: Why are you so different?

Kira's POV

I turned to leave without asking him when he would be free. I was just too excited to spend some time with him. Now I have two tutorials. One for my powers, the other for my education. I looked forward to both.

First I would go to Ken's house, to learn a thing or two. Then I will practice what I learned with Austin. I wasn't going to let the chance he gave me slip away.

I stayed quiet while eating dinner with my family. I wasn't hungry, but my overprotective mother wouldn't let me be. She was concerned about my health even though I was perfectly fine.

"So" Madison, my sister began, dropping her fork on her plate. "We were thinking of sending you to Manhattan to study. We all think Starhill isn't good enough for you"

"What do you mean?" I asked with a scowl on my face.

"New York is a very... )"

I didn't let her finish before cutting her short. "I'm not leaving los Angeles" This place was the only shot I had in getting my old self back and they wanted me to leave
