"Can you stand?” Her father asked her while he held her left hand in his right hand. He could hear the slight grunt she made, watching as her face became squeezed in her struggle to get on her feet.

“Yes, I can,” she replied immediately. She closed her eyes and heaved a heavy sigh before she made another attempt.

Her next attempt was worse than her initial. Her heels were already swollen, though she never thought of having them closer to it. She pressed the already blistered heels to the ground, letting the hidden pain become even more conspicuous.

She was on one foot, the left to be more precise, while the right foot was that which was swollen. She let out a loud grunt as soon as the spot on her hand touched the hard ground with much more force.

“Ugh! Mila” he heaved a heavy sigh with his eyes closed, and his head lifted to the sky while he shook disappointingly at her confidence. ,
