Struggling loss

I stood there, frozen in time, as Tristan walked away from me, tears streaming down his face. I knew I had to go after him, to explain everything and make things right. But my feet felt rooted to the spot, unable to move.

I took a deep breath and tried to shake off the feeling of guilt and regret that was suffocating me. I had to make things right with Tristan. He deserved an explanation, and I needed to clear the air.

I took a step forward, and then another, my heart pounding in my chest. "Tristan, please wait!" I called out, my voice echoing in the silence.

But he didn't turn back. He just kept walking, his figure disappearing into the darkness. I knew I had to hurry if I wanted to catch up with him.

I quickened my pace, my legs pumping as I tried to catch up with Tristan. But he was too fast, and soon he was gone, vanished into the night.

I stopped at the corner of the street, panting and frustrated. I had never felt so helpless in my life. I had hurt the one person who truly cared
