Violet’s heart pounded in her chest as she carefully made her way towards the staircase. The sounds of people enjoying their dinner filtered through the house. That was probably the only reason Violet hadn’t fainted yet. If there is one thing she learned through all this is that she didn’t have a future in espionage.
