Kate continued her history lesson on the supreme alpha as I listened intensely.

“In the old days a wolf pack hierarchy were more rank based and went like:

Alpha

Beta

Luna

Packmembers

Omegas

Slaves

Rouges

Whereas the Alpha was the top of the pack and the Beta in second command and the Luna was third in command normally with no authority but with the status of the alpha’s mate. Her lack of influence was solely based on her being a female and therefor she was more for show than having an actual responsibility towards the pack. Her only job was to ensure the heritage of the pack by giving the alpha a male heir.

Then came the supporting packmembers who had no power but was normally a tribute to the pack somehow, being warriors, doctors or consultants to alpha or beta. They were important to the pack in the sense that an Alpha with no pledging or loyal packmembers were no alpha at all. The mo
