CHAPTER 13
Luke POV
Time went quickly as we sat in café talking and before I knew it we were running towards the football fields behind our school where the trials would unfold.
As we arrived I couldn’t believe own eyes as the school’s fields were transformed into something resembling a modern colosseum where gladiators would fight for glory, honor, and their freedom. Which was very fitting since that was exactly what I felt I was about to do. Except it wasn’t my freedom or honor I was fighting for but my aunts.
Instead of massive stone walls, the whole area was surrounded by seating arrangement, so the different packs could view the trials as they went along. And in the middle of it all was a giant arena.

Luke POVI felt prepared and ready, like this was what I had been waiting for whole my life.We were standing in a line outside of the arena. We were 8 pledgers in total. Three pledgers from our pack; me, Kate, and the asshole Tomas. Tomas was the favorite among all the pledgers. He was built like a machine, like he was carved out stone.
