Chapter 11
Tiff picked me up from the airport, which I appreciated. I felt connected to her. She understood the pains that could come with the mate bond, and that was refreshing. To have someone that I could talk to openly felt nice. Plus, she was one of two women I had been intimate with.
"So did the asshole make it," I ask after about five minutes of comfortable silence.
"He made it, and he ....disappeared," Tiff said, shooting me side glances.
"What do you mean disappeared," I growl, not liking a potential suspect escaped.
"His surgery went great. Jane visited him, and they had an argument.....then he was just gone. No scent," Tiff answered tensely
