Chapter 13
After five hours of searching, we return to White Crest with nothing. No scent. No leads. NOTHING. Alpha and I burst into the cells. After informing him of everything Jane said, plus the information I brought from Scott, the evidence against Alpha Layne was stacking. With Jane now missing, according to Royal law, we could "interrogate" suspects.
I grab the disgustingly weak Alpha and drag him to a thick silver chain they have cemented in the middle of the hall. I barely had time to finish chaining him before Emmett punches him twice.
"Where are the missing pups," Emmett roars loudly.
"How would I know that," Alpha Layne sneers after spitting blood from his mouth.
"You might want to tell us....since 6 hours ago...... your oldest daughter was also taken," Emmett growls lowly, and I watch as Layne's face pales.
"What do you mean? No, you are lying," Layne yells, regaining his composure. Emmett nods at me, and I heel kick Layne in the face.
