Andreas’ POV.-The wail of my next prey instills me with insidious pleasure as I watch life seep out of her agonizing brown orbs to bring in its place a dim curtain of death. Tilting my head back with corrupt mirth, I run my tongue over my teeth and host a triumphant grin.Tonight, like every other night since many centuries ago, another feeble human meets a gruesome end in my unmerciful hands. It’s funny, and I never get tired of it. How easily these pitiful creatures die. Feeling the limp weight in my arms, I bring my gaze in a descent and stare at the pale woman with two black dots lying prominent against the smear of fresh blood on her neck. My corrupt excitement fades like a lie, and I begin to immerse my awareness more into the dead woman in my hands with her body already loose from its writhes of agony.Their life is too fleeting that it’s satirical to watch. However, as I leave her body on the cold floor of her kitchen and head out into the heavy downpour, I feel no emo
Sorah’s POV.-My shaky hands, trembling incessantly, clutch the top of the chair lightly. I hum lengthily, hunching forward and bearing my weight onto my unstable hands as I gradually lift my head to see my solemn reaction staring back at me.“My Lady” The tentative call of my handmaid shifts my focus from the pair of drooped jade-greens in the mirror to the pensive deep-chocolates in the lower left of the mirror.“You don’t mean the words you spoke to that Vampire, do you?”The rattle in her voice sends a chill of guilt across my chest that clenches briefly at the emotion in her voice. Reactively, my shoulders shudder and I bite my lower lip, unwilling to give her a response. The curtain of silence that follows afterward, is heavy on my shoulders and stuffy in my throat.I feel her tension in the air and the longer I retain the words on my tongue, the more the guilt slices deep until I rattle out of my position to straighten up as I force the words out of my hesitant lips.Ke
Sorah's POV. - “Andreas!”Huh? Where’s this place? Wasn’t I falling just now? So, how are we…by the roadside? The honking of cars, voices of people talking as they move about their business, shops with their lights on, and…I gulp tensely, feeling the searing presence beside me and being too reluctant to register him.He scoffs, “Are you awake now? You looked so excited screaming your lungs till you passed out in the air. Would you be interested to give it a try again?”I flush at his wicked tease and drag my butt over the sidewalk to look away from him. Did I really pass out like that? Oh my, how embarrassing! But then, does this mean he carried me here himself? Speaking of which, what territory are we in? I spring up to my feet with a spurt and hear him sigh. Looking aside to see him, he speaks with dull eyes, “Your thoughts are ever in a disarray”. He rolls his eyes towards the road and adds, “This is the heart of your Hunter Village, the busiest street”“Your cinema is ju
Sorah's POV.-"Heh, what is this? Missing your beloved patient already?"It's him!I whip around at once, turning to see his smug roguish grin and glowing wild crimsons. I want to replete my gloom with relief and step closer but, notice a trail of blood from the corner of his lips and shudder. He smirks at my reluctance, holding gazes with me while stepping down from the window sill with the curtains blowing around him. "Weren't you about to switch into panic from your inability to find me just now?" He taunts insidiously. "I'm here now, why don't you come to embrace me, hmm?"His eyes squint in his taunt to mock me, a vile grin stretching his red lips. He starts to saunter close, covering the distance between us in three long strides. He startles me when he suddenly cages me against the dresser, having my back press uncomfortably against the furniture while his frame looms over my quivering one. With cunning glints in his crimsons, he says, "Tonight, I'll bring you somewhere myself
Sorah's POV.-Ugh...my head hurts. What's with this tremendous thunderclap booming all over my head?My eyes squint torturously and come peeling open with a scrunch of my facial muscles. Rousing up dizzily, it feels like the dormant pain gets a spurt into life as it sears across my being and brings me jerking up reflexively with a terrible wince.Something is restricting my movement...I blink my eyes as I turn my head to the side where some soft and feather-light threads tickle my face and coax a sneeze out of me."Excuse me" I wheeze per habit after sneezing and that's when I see the threads are red. No, not actual red. This is....One second, two seconds, three seconds...I scream with fright, backpedaling away with such speed that amazes me until I nearly fall from the bed. But a seizing force comes slamming down on my face and shoves me into the bed with nails clipping into my cheeks."What the hell is wrong with you, foolish woman? What's the need to get all dramatic so early in
Sorah's POV.-“Sorah?”Just kill me…of all people to meet out here like this, why does it have to be him?My body stiffens and I guiltily shiver in my spot, watching with profound dread, my brother, Yasha closing the few yards between us in powerful quick strides. His gait scares away the few people loitering along his path as his deep bluish-green sharp eyes zero down on me. He’s so mad, he might kill me! What do I do? Should I make a run for it? That’ll only get me into bigger trouble once he tells Mother and Father. Oh dear, guess I’ll just prepare for the worst.“Sorah? What are you doing out here?”This is a different voice. I blink and avert my eyes to the side where I see Devon approaching. He raises a brow at me, wondering what must’ve driven me out of my cave and into the streets I’ve been forbidden from. Before I can put my thoughts together and answer him, Yasha zips the distance and grabs my wrist cruelly. I yelp with a wince and he glowers down on my very existen
Sorah's POV-Burning fluttering tingles explode across my being, my eyes roll, and my head swoons in endless circles. My frisky hands fist his shirt while his grip my waist and hold the back of my head steady as his fierce teeth gnaw on my lips to force his entrance. This is so hot and insane. Never did I imagine kisses could be so…ah, what do I even know? Our lips fall apart and it’s now I realize I’ve been holding my breath as I stagger and grip his arms for support while I catch my breath and stabilize my vision. Looking up at him, I see his crimsons garnering dark swirls that send a pleasant jolt down my spine, and he retracts his hands to cup my face tenderly.“Are you ready?”Carefully searching his keen eyes, I wonder if it's because I'm currently irrational. But, can the subtle traces in the corner of his eyes be taken to connote concern?I nod my head eagerly, discarding the last restraint in me as I give him my firm response. The dangerous glint in his eyes springs to
Andreas’ POV.-“Andreas- No, don’t!”My hand hangs at my side, wet and dripping with blood. The room is tensely silent with the only sound being that of the dripping blood from my hostile attack just now. My eyes switch from being wide to squinting with scorn as my lips twist aside to spit a rank hiss. “To think you would step in to protect him,” I begin in a low rattling voice. “Are you trying to imitate Mother? You think you can become anything close to the fool she was?” I give a short cruel laugh, grinning at him with feral belittling eyes.My reflection glares at me from the bent position he maintains before the little boy. His arms wrap protectively around the shivering boy and on his porcelain immaculate face, is a healing slash on his cheek while blood drips off his chin. His jaw moves stiffly and his deep vocals come out with a threat shocking to me as he warns, “Don’t you dare speak of mother so disrespectfully, you insolent retard”.Our mother as I’d put it, was th
