•Juan's Home•
After school, Aaron went home without hesitation. He was really worried to know the reason why Juan didn't come to school.
Upon reaching the house, it was so quiet. It seemed like Juan and Alice were inside. He tried to open the door and enter but hesitated, withdrawing himself, and ended up knocking on the door gently.
Receiving no response, he decided to knock a little harder again but still got no reply. He then took a deep breath and slowly pushed the door open.
Upon entering the house, he discovered that no one was in the parlor, and it still looked somewhat disorganized.
"Juan, are you home?" he called out with a soft voice, but no one answered. Everywhere was still quiet, so he headed straight to Juan's room.
He didn't find Juan there. He then checked Alice's room, but no one was there either.
"Anybody home? Juan? Alice?" he started calling out with a louder voice and searched all around the house but couldn't find either of them.
His worry intensified as he began to suspect that maybe Juan had issues with Alice because of him, or it could be that the gangs hunting Alice had come back for her. However, he wondered why they would take both Juan and her if it was really them. Aaron believed that something else might have happened.
He didn't know how to start looking for them, so he simply picked up his phone and dialed Juan's number. It rang, but the call wasn't picked up.
He called repeatedly, but his calls were ignored. He believed that Juan might be okay but was just mad at him about how things unfolded between them yesterday.
Still bothered but not as much, he thought they must have gone somewhere and would return home soon. He returned to Juan's bed and lay on it since he usually sleeps in the same room with Juan, so it wasn't a big deal.
As time passed and the day turned dark with no sign of them, he began to worry more and decided to call Juan again.
Dialing the number again, he heard the ringing tone inside the room, but it was faint and barely audible.
Following the sound, he traced it to the wardrobe and found the phone inside.
"So, she wasn't even with her phone? How could I have been so stupid!" he muttered to himself upon realizing that Juan wasn't with her phone.
This made him strongly believe that something was wrong. He stepped outside the house, contemplating what to do. He thought about transforming into his wolf form to help find them but dismissed the idea, knowing he couldn't control the wolf and might end up lost the next day.
While lost in thought, his phone started ringing. It was an unknown number, but he didn't hesitate to answer it immediately.
"Hello? Who's calling?" he said as he picked up the phone and held it to his ear.
"Hello, Aaron, it's Lucy," she responded, leaving Aaron with a surprised facial expression. It was an unexpected call since Lucy didn't have his number, and he didn't have hers either.
"Lucy...? How did you get my number?" he asked. Instead of answering that question, Lucy went straight to the point.
"Juan is here with me..." Lucy was saying, but Aaron quickly interrupted upon hearing that name.
"Juan!? How is she? Is she okay?" he asked eagerly, his posture changing as he grabbed his phone with both hands.
"Um... I can't answer that now, but I need you to be here shortly, at my place," Lucy replied. Without questioning or suspecting anything, Aaron readily agreed.
"Alright, give me a few seconds. I will be right there," he responded and quickly ended the call. He didn't even bother to dress up or take a bath; he simply jumped out of the house and got into Juan's car, only to realize that the key wasn't with him.
He rushed back inside, grabbed the key, returned and started the car, and drove straight to Lucy's house.
•Lucy's Home•
When he arrived at the compound, Lucy, who had already heard the sound of the car, stepped out of the house standing at the entrance, knowing it could be no one else but him.
"Where is she?" he asked immediately upon stepping out of the car. Lucy opened her door wider for him, and he saw Juan inside the house, tears already in her eyes.
He quickly ran in and hugged her tightly as Juan continued to cry.
"Juan, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have left you..." Aaron apologized immediately, tears streaming down his face. Juan with a broken heart, remained silent.
"I'm sorry. I know I hurt you deeply with my words, but I didn't mean them. I'm so sorry," he continued apologizing, feeling responsible for Juan's condition.
"I felt terrible. I couldn't focus at school when I realized you weren't at school. I returned home to look for both of you to apologize, but neither of you were at home," he explained, but Juan remained silent, tears still falling.
Traumatized and upset, Juan acted as if she wasn't listening, even though Aaron held her hand.
"I tried calling you. I was so worried, thinking something had happened to both of you. I'm sorry, Juan. I hope Alice is here..." Aaron was saying when Juan interrupted him with a louder voice.
"Why do you want to mention her name now? You were mad at me because you saved her! You were angry because you didn't keep your horrible identity and let her die at the hands of those assassin!?" she yelled loudly.
Aaron was taken aback, seeing Juan in such a high state of anger; he hadn't seen her like that before.
"You chose to run away instead of protecting my sister, and now they have her! She's been kidnapped! Her life is at risk because of your selfishness! I hate you! Stay away from me!" Juan yelled at him, pushing him away and angrily leaving the parlor for the inner room.
Aaron was shocked to hear that Alice had been kidnapped. He was deeply sorry and heartbroken upon hearing that. He attempted to go after Juan but held back as she slammed the door almost in his face.
He quickly returned to Lucy, who was watching them from the corner. "Do you have any idea what happened?" he asked urgently. Lucy shook her head.
"Not really, but as I was driving home from work, I found her stranded on the highway. I brought her here. She didn't tell me much, just that she needed to speak to you," Lucy explained, stepping closer to Aaron and looking into his face.
"What really happened? There seemed to be more to what she was talking about. What identity?" Lucy inquired. Aaron silently stepped back, initially turning to leave but then halted and turned and returned his gaze to Lucy.
"Where did you meet Juan on the highway?" he asked, thinking he might be able to trace Alice from there and bring her home safely since that's the only thing that can make Juan forgive him for now.
•Somewhere At The Highway• • • Aaron's car slowly pulled up beside the highway and parked by the road. This highway was where Lucy had directed him; it was the exact spot where she had picked up Juan. Upon arriving at the highway, Aaron gently brought his car to a stop and scanned the surroundings. The highway was lined with woods on both sides, and there was no sign of any other cars passing by, as it was already late at night. The only sounds breaking the silenced night were the eerie calls of strange birds. Aaron, unfazed, carefully scanned the area, hoping to find trace of the people that kidnapped Alice. After looking around for a while, he decided to move to the left side of the road, away from where he had parked. Upon checking the surroundings, he couldn't find any possible strong trace that could track those guys. So as he was about to walk away, he noticed a movement within the forest. He withdrew back, returning his gaze to that spot, but didn't see any further unu
•Welcoming Her• Immediately, Juan ran out of the house and hugged Alice, checking to ensure she wasn't hurt. "Alice, are you okay? I hope you weren't hurt by them," She asked. Alice, who did not seem hurt in any way, appeared indifferent to her sister's concern. "I'm fine," she said, leaving Juan behind and heading straight to the house. Upon meeting Aaron at the entrance, she ignored him as she entered. Aaron and Juan exchanged a glance. Alice's sudden arrival was so strange, and she did not appear to have been hurt by those guys in any way. Nevertheless, Juan proceeded inside the house, following Alice, while Aaron also joined them inside also, everyone of them wanted to hear from Alice. • • "Alice, what happened? How did you manage to escape from them?" Juan asked immediately she joined Alice in her room, while Aaron waited at the entrance. "I told you I'm fine! Please, leave me alone!" Alice yelled, chasing Juan out of her room and locking the door. "Are you sure you are
"Aaron! What are you doing in here?" she exclaimed, trying to cover her nakedness with her hands. Aaron immediately shifted his gaze to the floor as Alice retreated back to the bathroom. "I... I came to check on you," Aaron stated after stammering for a while. "Check on me! You entered my room without my permission," Alice yelled loudly before shutting the door of the bathroom. "I know, I'm sorry, but I think I should be leaving now," Aaron said as he exited her room. While he was leaving, Alice quickly opened the bathroom door, peeked out, and prepared to speak but ended up remaining silent, allowing Aaron to get away like that. Then she stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, and hurried to her phone on the bed. She checked the text message sent to her. Her heart filled with unease as she realized Aaron might have seen the message, although she couldn't be certain. She knew she had to be cautious and swift in her actions, especially if Aaron hadn't seen the message.
"She was devastated. She became silent and refused to speak to me for days. We loved him; he was a caring father," Juan revealed, leaving Aaron hesitant to share his thoughts. He needed to delve deeper into this. He believed that Alice might seriously need help to break free from those guys who could be using her while threatening her with something else. As Juan spoke, tears filled her eyes, overwhelming her emotions. Aaron then shifted from his chair and sat beside her. "It's okay, Juan, everything is going to be okay, and your dad will be forever remembered in the hearts of many," Aaron encouraged, embracing her and gently guiding her to rest her head on his shoulders. Aaron could think of nothing else but to confront Alice and talk to her. It was evident that those criminals were using her, possibly leveraging something against her or threatening her. He needed to have a conversation with Alice to understand the nature of the arrangement she had with them and the person they we
They kissed deeply once more. At that moment, Alice sat in her class, glaring at them with a menacing expression. Her plan was already ensnaring them, just as she had intended. Aaron would never notice her scheme. Before long, Aaron wearily rose to his feet, looking exhausted. His mind was likely troubled by thoughts of Alice. "Aaron, is something else bothering you?" Juan asked, observing his distress. He shook his head, pretending to be okay when he clearly was not. "No, I'm okay," he replied, but Juan promptly cut him off, almost interrupting him. "I can tell when you're not okay. You're acting strange. What's wrong?" she asked. Aaron nodded, swallowing nervously. "Yeah, it's probably because of Alice. Not what she said to me, but... I can't help but feel sorry for both of you. Losing a dad like that, I wonder how it feels to have one. I never knew mine," Aaron admitted. "I'm sorry about that too, but whoever your dad was, I'm sure he was a great man, much like the amazing son
"You don't know that he might still be under their chase?" Audrey said as they heard a hit on their door immediately. And Anna who was so afraid quickly ran backward...."Okay....!" Audrey whispered as they all moves backward as they stares at the door. But everywhere goes silent for a few seconds and then Emma decided to check what was wrong. She slowly opens the door just to see a bird standing out there. And then Emma and the others breathe down as she opens the door widely."Oh my God, she came to visit me," Audrey said as she rushed the bird and carries it up."Wow, it looks so beautiful," Anna said as she steps closer and stretched her hand requesting to carry the bird. And then Audrey handed over the bird to her, it was rainbow in color.Anna was slowly smooching the bird as it relaxes on her hand."That was my only friend," Audrey said looking at the bird."Oh yes, good!" Anna said carelessly as she walks out of the house. So as others joined her and they spent up to three
Calm down it is not them, I know the right car they use," Aaron said as Teacher Emma started trying to calm down. But she was never okay till the black car passed them while she stares at the car till it moves far away."Hmm, I almost fainted," Teacher Emma said as she relaxed back in her seat and closed her eyes. And while opening it she noticed that Aaron was already missing the way."Please that way!" She shouted pointing to the left while Aaron was already heading to the right. But is actually not too late so he quickly reversed the car with force without moving backward. But with the force he used, Teacher Emma fell to the side."Sorry" Aaron whispered as he was still so concentrated on his driving. And then Teacher Emma kindly stands up and stares at him somehow."What?" Aaron asked."I thought that you are supposed to be so weak, seriously...." Emma said as she swallows her saliva."I thought that you will beg for assistance because you are feeling pain," Emma said but Aaron se
Juan was so wondered how Aaron get to appear here. She couldn't believe who she was seen standing after her.She stares at Aaron without saying anything but tears were already flowing down from her eyes.So as Aaron paused and was also staring at her too."Aaron.... you are here...? how did you manage to escape the hunters?" Juan asked in a low voice and tears also."Well... all I can say is that it was a decision made by my fate""And I thank my fate for that, for making me the first person to ever escape the hunters after visiting their cave" Aaron replied with tears also. And then he spread his hands as he tries to step closer in other to hug Juan. But Juan moves backward instead as she points at Aaron."Stay away from me, after all the taboo you have done to me!"Am never going to forgive you" Juan said as she was slowly moving her head from side to side with tears."If that is why you come here, then don't bother, just go back because am never going to forgive you"And then Aaron
