Chapter 68

Detective Ben was Megan's secret detective. He glanced at the picture on his screen again to be sure it was the same person. The lady sitting across from him was the same person on the screen, the same lady Elizabeth was talking to a few hours ago.

The lady snivelled, cleaning her tears continuously. Ben waited for her to calm down before he started his enquiries. After Megan had tipped him that something was off about Elizabeth's company that was about to be launched, he stationed his men around her.

He had already disappointed her with Hailey's investigation and he didn't want that to happen again.

One of them sent the picture a few hours ago. He hurried over to meet her after she was led to the café by his underlings. The lady finally stopped crying and picked up the coffee Infront of her, gulping down half of the content.

"Are you okay now?"

"A bit better." She replied, glancing around nervously.

"Don't fret, it is safe here. So tell me about your argument with Ms Elizabeth"
