Pov Emily

My heart nearly stopped when he pressed his lips against mine. It felt so good to be able to feel his kiss again, to smell him close to me; it all left me ecstatic.

"When we got married, I said our love was the main thing. I still feel that love, Emily. I love you," he said before pulling away, before leaving.

"Are you coming back?" I asked timidly, already missing him.

"I'll be back this week to stay with you, and it'll just be the two of us," he smiled before opening the car door. "I promise." Tyler left with his men, leaving me alone with the employees again.

The night was restless, and despite my attempts to force myself to sleep, I couldn't find the way to slumber. I glanced at the clock and noticed it was already four-thirty in the morning.
