I walked with caution down the hall and as I turned the corner Kallan startled me, I tried not to let it show but I took a sharp breath in as I seen him standing in front of me. He was leaning against the table as if he had been waiting on me.
His full attention was roaming my body, I could tell Echo would be useless as I tried to focus on something else, distracting myself from the mate bond trying to pull us together. I could feel my legs light up under his view and realized how wildly inappropriate this was, to be walking around his men and him with bare legs.

Octavia's POVI woke up in the morning afraid to move or breathe too heavily, but I couldn't smell Kallan's scent.
