Sarah stirred on the bed and her eyes opened. She could hear soft chirping of the birds, with rays of sunlight penetrating through the curtains. Even children's playful laughter could be heard on the street.

She quickly sat up on an unknown bed, trying to figure out where was she and when she did, her eyes instantly moved to the sofa beside her bed. It was Devlin. Her heart started its crazy gymnastic again. His forearm covered his eyes and it looked like he was deeply asleep. Sarah’s throat suddenly went dry. Ill at ease, with a grimace, she rapidly stood up and went in the bathroom, tiptoeing.

Few minutes later, she came downstairs, looked around and actually admired the house. It was small but comfy, not as huge as Devlin’s. Without much difficulty, she strolled to the kitchen and found the old woman washing dishes. Upon hearing her footsteps, the latter swung, smiled warmly at Sarah, ''Good morning, sweetheart.''
